Development Stages of ABS Plastic Lockers

The development of plastic lockers has gone through several stages. The styles of plastic lockers are different in each stage. The locker is from single to colorful in color, from rough to fine in workmanship, from non-full plastic to full plastic in structure design. Now, plastic lockers are increasingly durable, exquisite and high-end. And the locker is accepted by a growing number of consumers and used in various occasions.

The main selling point of plastic lockers is the plastic material, which will not rust or mold. In the initial stage, as a substitute for the traditional iron and wood locker, the first generation of plastic lockers are made of ABS plastic except hinges. The door sheet, top plate, side plate and base of the locker are all made of ABS plastic. Naturally, plastic materials will not rust or mold and metal hinges are also stainless steel. But the hinge screws are easy to loosen for the locker door is frequently opened and closed. Thus, that locker is not very durable.

The second generation of ABS lockers completely solve the problem that the hinges of the last generation product are not durable. More advanced high-strength nylon hinges are used. No screws are needed for fixing and connecting. Basically, the locker is made of all-plastic material. The colors of plastic lockers of this generation can be freely customized and the diversified colors can lend themselves well to many occasions. The disadvantage of the second generation of the plastic locker is that its surface is relatively monotonous for there is no decorative pattern. Furthermore, the compressive strength and bearing capacity of the locker body are not strong, so deformation is easy to occur under the action of external forces.

The third generation of ABS plastic lockers has many decorative patterns, for instance, the propitious cloud pattern. And the locker is with shorter delivery cycle. At the same time, the problem of poor compression strength of the previous generation products has been solved. The top plate and side plate are designed with raised reverse moulds, which creates super compressive strength and bearing capacity. This design also makes the locker more beautiful.

As a new type of lockers, the development of plastic lockers has gone through these three stages. When purchasing ABS plastic lockers, you should select them carefully. Different batches of plastic lockers vary greatly.
